The Black & Decker BDCDMT1206KITC Matrix 6 Tool Combo Kit is powered by a 20-volt MAX motor which provides enough power for a full range of applications and attachments. The 20v Lithium Ion Battery – always ready, and holds a charge up to 18 months. The Matrix Quick Connect System allows quick and easy change of a variety of attachments which include a Drill-Driver, Sander, Jig Saw, Oscillating, and Impact attachments. The impact driver attachment delivers high performance output without kick back, along with a variable speed feature that allows for precision performance that is right for each job. The sanding attachment is a versatile product that can be used for finish sanding, rust removal, dry scrubbing, polishing, and detail sanding. The jig saw attachment is designed for tool-free blade changes for fast and easy change of blades, and the oscillating attachment accepts a variety of Black + Decker accessories (sold separately) which can be used to cut drywall, metal, wood, plastic, composite and many other materials. I’m not a professional contractor so I don’t need "professional" quality equipment. This thing is perfect for do it yourself type people. Comes with pretty much everything you need to do a lot of projects around the house. One thing I really like is the case this comes in, that way everything has it’s own spot in the case. The motor is plenty powerful enough for everything I plan on doing with it. I would have easily paid 0 more for this combo kit. The included sander is a corner type sander, it comes with plenty of sandpaper. The main drill feels perfect in the hand, and the Oscillating tool is something I have always wanted (not sure for what but have always wanted). The only gripe I have with it, is I would have liked it to include an led light in the drill (not that I’m drilling at night) but sometimes it is nice to have a light.

A great set of power tools. I really like this set. My only complaint is that it only has one battery. I bought an additional drill because it came with another battery and charger.
Update: I use this set for light duty woodworking and have now blown through two motors. I generally like the set, but the battery powered motor isn’t up to the task of the oscillating cutting tool. Using that tool is how I burned the motor out both times. What I did learn was that there is corded version of the motor for about that handles those kinds of jobs fine (so far). So, if you get this set, I don’t recommend using the oscillating tool unless you get the corded motor for that. I am waiting to see whether black and decker replaces/repairs the bad battery powered motors…

Love this kit! I have used almost all of the attachments around the house. The attachments are easy to change and all work well. Great job to B&D on this one. Note: It doesn’t come with router bits, but does come with reciprocating saw and jig saw blades and sanding pad and rotary saw blade. Works as advertised. Perfect for this handy man. Can I say that I love the Matrix system. Keep in mind that you can also purchase the craftsman "bolt on" series attachments and they work well too.
