    I had this screwdriver in my Amazon wishlist for quite some time before deciding to purchase it. I was initially really hesitant about the gyroscopic feature instead of a traditional linear trigger switch. Turns out it’s completely and totally awesome. It took all of about 20 seconds of operation to get used to it. I really love the fact that you can go from forward to reverse operation just by moving your wrist. There are no reverse toggles or any other switches; just the “go” trigger. I use mine primarily to work on hobby-grade radio controlled cars and I can’t understand how I put off this purchase for so long. It makes the wrench-work on the cars easily five times faster. The clutch works fantastic and is a very handy feature when screwing into plastic or other soft parts to ensure you don’t strip out your hole. The batteries have excellent life (so far) and the charger does a perfectly adequate job and seems to charge up the pack quickly. I haven’t had a ton of use using the driver in the “straight” configuration but I appreciate that it has the added flexibility. The canvas bag is alright, it’s seems to be good quality and would hold plenty of other things if you don’t plan on using for the screwdriver. All-in-all this thing will live in my toolbox for as long as it continues to work and I’m so happy I finally decided to buy it. The only thing I’d like to have is an adjustable chuck, but the 1/4″ quick-release chuck works just fine.

    I’ve had this unit about two weeks, and have used it quite a bit on some light-duty maintenance and installing electrical circuits. It’s a high quality tool with a good balance and “feel”. The gyroscopic activation of the driver took all of 0.5 seconds to get used to. I was surprised by the degree of control I have over the speed. It sometimes requires you to be strategic about when you start your twist – if you start too far into your full range of motion, you may not have enough room to achieve the full speed you want. This isn’t a so much a negative as it is a “quick lesson learned.” It comes with a bit-holder that snaps onto the device. It feels like it was a design after-thought. It works okay; it can be hard to get bits placed back into their saddle. I still like the unit enough that I’d have bought it knowing this, so it’s more of a PITA than a major negative. One aspect that I really (really!) like is the LED at the base of the chuck. I thought it was a “sales gimmick,” but came to depend on that light in all kinds of situations. Since I was doing electrical work, it even served as my main light during times I was killing the power on the circuit, also killing my main light source. All in all, I’m happy with the tool and would buy another if ever faced with the need.

    Summary:
    Lets face it. The hammering and noise from a construction site impact driver is not the way your spouse wants you to hang things in the house. This is the perfect solution when an impact driver isn’t required or necessary. I use it for PC repairs, picture frame screws, outlet covers, etc. I no longer hear “The baby is sleeping, can you wait!” (Super Quiet). Everyone’s first instinct is to have fun with the gyro flipping the driver back and fourth to feel and see the driver following your motions. Works well with normal and light duty tasks (e.g., 2″ wood screws and watch battery screws).

    Charger Mounting:
    Add 2 Standard Screws spaced 2-3/8″ apart and 1 (one) NM Staple and you’ve just mounted the charger to a stud somewhere in your shop (See Photo).

    Operation:
    Press the button and the motor starts, rotate the driver slightly and it rotates in the same direction slowly. Rotate the driver faster and it rotates faster, no forward or reverse switch to deal with (Yea!). Rotate back and forth and the driver follows in both directions! It feels natural in the unbent or straight position. Using this driver is like turning a manual screw driver without the effort and constant cranking on your wrist. I only use the bent position when I have a limited space.

    Pros:
    The clutch in this device will not rip your arm off should the screw stop for any reason. Quiet compared to an impact driver, no hearing protection needed. Compatible flashlight (not included) and my screw bits kit fit neatly into the bag. There’s no need to lug the charger around, the batteries last a long time with normal non-construction site use. The bag is small enough to hide under the bathroom sink or a small cabinet.

    Cons:
    I would never pretend that this would replace the impact driver for job sites and difficult screws that require an impact driver.
