    Good sander. Don’t twist the dust catcher when putting on- it will snap the gasket ring and the dustless sanding is over. Not sure how you’re supposed to put it on, but i can say, don’t twist it.

    Used to level seams and high spots on subfloor prior to installing new laminate flooring. Over time, the OSB tends to swell a bit on the edges, likely from humidity. It’s minor, generally well under 1/8″, but worth the bit of effort to do before installation of the underlayment. This small but capable machine did an outstanding job of removing the material and catching it in the filter box. With only the weight of the unit itself, the filter box was filled within 15-20 minutes. Results look professional. I’d expect this to work well for many projects. For the price, all things considered, this is a good value.

    Edit: used on a second floor installation. Installed a new 40 grit aftermarket brand belt when the original belt finally started to wear out. The belt replacement couldn’t have been easier.
    Again worked perfectly with no issues whatsoever and excellent results.

    A statement of how far technology has come.

    I have used electrical sanders since I was 10 years old. I started with a big-name brand vibrating sander. I actually don’t know what they’re good for.

    Then, I used a machine-shop grade belt sander at the age of 15. Amazing.

    Even more amazing: The purchase price of this powerful little machine.

    Note: The cannister cannot capture all of the sawdust or paint chips, but it will get most of it. So do be prepared to vacuum up after your job; The reason that this belt sander is effective is because that belt of high-grit paper spits off a lot of debris at contact with the door, or floor, or whatever you are sanding.
